A little bit about me

Hi, I am Prabhjot Sidhu – A regular Malaysian who went abroad to study with every intention of returning home straight after. But as things often go…

… one thing leads to another and, next thing you know, you’ve made a career as a Consultant in Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Internal Medicine and it’s been 19 years in the UK.

Don’t get me wrong, I was having a blast there with the best opportunities to advance further alongside the greatest colleagues one could ever ask for… But like most Malaysians abroad, one day we would decide it’s time for a change; it’s time to come home. You may ask why when so many Malaysians are trying to leave? Simple….. Malaysia… IS.… home.

Why this blog?

Education and awareness! Coming home, almost immediately I noticed that people generally are either not at all or are ill-informed about their health and what to do or where to go about their symptoms. The information is coming from hearsay, a “this uncle or aunty told me” situation more often than not. And for those that decide to look things up themselves, well, with so much out there and it can be difficult for the public to make sense of it all adding to the confusion. Although it is wonderful that people are taking more of an interest in their health now but often people are steered onto the wrong things by people who truly meant well.

That’s what this blog is about. To help steer you back onto your path of health.
